The Story Behind Orion Knives

It Started With a Name

Orion has always meant something special to me.

As a father of three boys, the constellation Orion became a symbol of unity and strength for our family. When I began designing my first knife, Orion was the name that felt right.

I didn't know it at the time, but that name would eventually become much more than the name of a knife.

It would become the identity of a brand.

Where It All Began

On June 4, 2019, I submitted my first knife design to a render contest.

I didn't win.

But something much more important happened.

I discovered that I wanted to keep designing.

Fueled by a lifelong fascination with craftsmanship, mechanisms, and how things work, I began teaching myself the tools needed to turn ideas into something tangible. I dove into software like DraftSight and started developing what would eventually become the Solaris.

That first design was the beginning of Orion Knives.

Orion was never simply about making knives.

It's about the fascination behind them—the design, the mechanics, the materials, the details, and the people who appreciate them.

Every knife I've carried, every product I've handled, every conversation I've had with someone in the community has influenced the direction of Orion.

That's what makes this brand different.
